Everyone loves a great picnic and sometimes an impromptu gathering in the park with close friends and your favourite picnic blanket are the most fun night out, but a bit of planning and cooking can add a lot to the experience.  Here are 8 delicious salads we have tried for you and that we absolutely love!

Green olive, walnut, and pomegranate salad

We discovered Alexandra’s recipes thanks to her green olive, walnut and pomegranate salad.  It was so different. We had to try it!  Her site is full of great suggestions for picnic and more.

The recipe we tried can be found here: https://alexandracooks.com/2012/11/24/green-olive-walnut-thanksgiving-day-recap/

Marinated chickpeas

Jessica’s marinated chickpeas were another great discovery.  These marinated chickpeas are a little spicy, a little sweet, and served with some pita bread, they are to die for!

Broccoli and Cauliflower Salad with Lime and Cilantro

OK. Broccoli and cauliflowers are often not in the top most favourite veg list, but this one is definitely worth a try!
